Going for films
The competitive section of the festival will be back for the second year: ten titles (fiction and documentaries) from all over the world, unpublished in Italy and directed by a film director at his first or second work. The prize will be awarded by a popular jury. |

eXistenZe
eXistenZe will be back in the 8th edition of the Festival with a new theme. Passions and Relationships: the spiritual and religious passion, the physical and chemical relationship, feelings and deep loves, public and political passion. Among the guests who will present a film: Francesco Bianconi of the Baustelle, Gherardo Colombo, Matteo Bordone, Francesco Piccolo. |

Tribute to John M. Stahl
A tribute, the first in Italy since many years, to the king of Hollywood melodrama of the thirties and forties, famous especially thanks to the remakes Douglas Sirk has realized of some of his films, e.g. Imitation of Life and Magnificent obsession. A frequently cited but very rarely seen author, to be rediscovered and loved with all the emotion and passion for classical cinema. |

They Have a Dream
In the year of Obama's victory in the United States and the crisis of participative politics in Italy, a path of six films, three American and three Italian, to compare two countries, two cultures, two kinds of cinema, two different forms of public passion. They had, and now have again, a dream. What about us? |

Rock marathon
A night marathon of films and clips dedicated to the passion for rock. Besides Julian Temple's documentary Joe Strummer: the future is unwritten, clips of the most important rock musicians ever will be screened: Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Doors, Who, Creams, Jeff Buckley, Keith Richards, Lou Reed...In collaboration with the great photographer Guido Harari.

Projections turistiche
During the next editing of the Festival will start the European cooperation project, Projections turistiche (Tourist Projections – Transboundary Festivals between Culture and Nature). Promoters and partners: Ente Turismo Alba Bra Langhe & Roero and French associations Grandeur Nature. Aims of the project: to promote and spread cultural and artistic activities, both in Italy and France.
