Absolutely Fabulous
Serie di culto, prodotta dallla BBC e creata dalla prolifica e irriverente mente comica di Jennifer Saunders. Racconta la vita sconclusionata e assolutamente riprovevole di due amiche ultra quarantenni della alta borghesia inglese, completamente fuori dal loro tempo e rimaste ai fasti lisergici ed edonistici degli anni ’60 e ’70. Edina Monsoon (interpretata dalla stessa Saunders) ha una società di pubbliche relazioni che gestisce con discutibile capacità; Patsy Stone è art director di una rivista di moda, ma non lavora quasi mai passando il tempo a bere e a usare varie droghe. Al loro fianco, Saffy, figlia di Edina, bacchettona e seriosa che cerca di rimettere la madre sulla retta via e di liberala dall’influenza nefasta di Patsy.

Edina deve apparire in tv da Richard e Judy (un programma della mattina molto popolare in Inghilterra). Quindi bisogna stirare quelle rughe: Patsy insiste che Edina faccia qualcosa e lei ha un rimedio miracoloso dal nome inquietante, Parallox. Forse, però, sarebbe stato meglio non abbondare con le iniezioni…
Absolutely Fabulous
A cult series produced by the BBC and created by the prolific and irreverent comic spirit of Jennifer Saunders. It shows the trite and totally unacceptable life of two upper class friends in their forties who are completely out of step with the times and are still stuck in the drug-hazed, hedonistic 1960s and ‘70s. Edina Monsoon (played by Saunders) sort of runs a PR company; Patsy Stone is the art director of a fashion magazine, but rather than working she spends her time drinking and taking drugs. Saffy, Edina’s prudish, serious daughter tries to put her mother back on the straight and narrow path and free her from Patsy’s evil influence.
ep. Parallox
Edina has to appear on TV with Richard and Judy (a morning TV program that is very popular in England). So she should get rid of some wrinkles. Patsy insists that Edina do something and she has a miraculous product with a menacing name, Parallox. But maybe it would be better not to overdo the injections…
