Gli uccelli
Conosciuto a San Francisco l’avvocato Mitch Brenner, la ricca Melanie Daniels si reca nella località costiera di Bodega Bay, dove l’uomo vive con la sorellina e la madre. Qui resta intrappolata in una improvvisa rivolta degli uccelli che attaccano la popolazione e uccidono l’ex fidanzata di Mitch, Annie. Barricati in casa, i Brenner e Melanie sopravvivono a un violento attacco e poi fuggono approfittando di un momentanea calma nella furia omicida degli uccelli.
The Birds
Spoiled socialite and notorious practical joker Melanie Daniels is shopping in a San Francisco pet store when she meets Mitch Brenner. Mitch is looking to buy a pair of love birds for his young sister's birthday; he recognizes Melanie but pretends to mistake her for an assistant. She decides to get her own back by buying the birds and driving up to the quiet coastal town of Bodega Bay, where Mitch spends his weekends with his sister and mother. Shortly after she arrives, Melanie is attacked by a gull, but this is just the start of a series of attacks by an increasing number of birds.

His carerre is divided in two phases: English one, from 1925 to 1940, with silent films and the first great successes in noir genre; Hollywood one, from 1940 till 1980, with the great masterpieces starring his favourite leading actors, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly, Tippi Hadren.
